Welcome! I’m Emilia, a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of Illinois Chicago.
My work is driven by my passion for people, and focuses on how behavior and culture shape economic outcomes. In my research, I employ rigorous applied microeconomic methods and behavioral economics insights to tackle complex problems in South Asian, African, and European settings, reflecting a broader interest in how economic behavior is embedded in social and cultural environments.
I expect to graduate in May of 2026. Feel free to browse this site for current papers and projects.
